I have always loved doodling, drawing, painting and scribbling - aka writing!

I grew up in the hilly countryside of West Virginia in a mid-size city alongside the winding Ohio River. I’ve lived a few places in the US - South, East & West - and traveled a good bit around the states and abroad. I appreciate the peace and quite of country life and the energy and buzz of a city. Traveling reignites my imagination and deepens my understanding of the world around me. I can feel at home anywhere when I’m with people I respect and love.

I studied painting and drawing at Marietta College and have a BA and MA in Art History from Ohio University where I focused on community based artists, art practices and organizations. I strongly believe art should be accessible to all. I also completed the Graduate Museum Studies Program at OU. For me, the history of art is exciting and galleries and museums are fun!

I create artworks in acrylic, water color, pencil, pen and ink, markers and more. I often like to write a little something on the things I draw or paint.

Lately, I’ve been exploring collage work and I am working on illustrating a children’s book (coming soon!)
